Prepare tablet and log in students
Prepare Snappet tablet
By turning on the tablet, the Snappet home screen will pop up. To start, click on the large ‘Start Snappet’ button. When using the tablet for the first time, the tablet asks once for an activation code. You need this code to link your students to a tablets. You generate the activation code for your class in the settings of your teacher dashboard. These settings can be found in the menu at the top right in your teacher dashboard. Log in students on Snappet tablets
Follow these three steps:
- When the tablet asks for the activation code, enter the activation code you generated in your teacher dashboard. The generated activation code is linked to a particular class, so make sure that the activation code you use is from the correct class. You can use the same activation code for all your students, but the code is valid for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes you need to generate a new activation code, which is valid for another 30 minutes.
- Select ‘Register’ if all information is correct and continue.
- On the next page, select a student from the list and click ‘Save’. When registering for the first time, the next page will ask you to accept the Snappet privacy policy agreement. Please click ‘Accept’ to continue.
Tip: You can have your students enter the activation code themselves all at the same time. They can select their own name from the list.
Log in students on other devices
Before students are able to sign in on another device, the teacher has to set up the login credentials for the students. The teacher can do this in the teacher dashboard on the students settings page. Once those credentials are set up, students are able to sign in themselves on devices other than the Snappet tablets at student.snappet.org
