Network settings
For a correct technical functioning of the Snappet application, we recommend the following:
- An internet connection that is fast enough so that all students can work online at the same time (0,5 MB download speed per user);
- A sufficiently strong signal in each classroom (minimum -60db);
- Enough free IP adresses in the DHCP pool of the network to make sure that each device can connect to the school network;
- A free pass to *.snappet.org. No proxy server, content filter or Windows server that blocks or delays the connection with Snappet;
- Use VLAN’s if possible;
- Some providers and/or specific routers require need settings. Ask your network administator/ tech guy about this.
Is the IT at your school managed by an external party?
Go over the spefications with them. Usually you cannot connect new devices and change network setting yourself.
